Nina Bhattacharya is a designer, educator, and social worker. As an educator and facilitator, Nina designs learning experiences that nurture and amplify young people’s agency, well-being, and creative power.

With her project at ArtLab entitled Mending as Care Work, Nina explored mending as an expression of care work and a metaphor for how queer, BIPOC, immigrant, and disabled communities stitch together invaluable support networks.

Committing to mending is more than an act of sustainability – it categorically rejects that the people, objects, and relationships in our lives are disposable.

This project was in collaboration with the Harvard Ed Portal’s Artists Pipeline Program.
