
Bree Edwards has served as the founding director of the ArtLab at Harvard University since fall 2018. With over 20 years of experience in arts administration, program management, partnership and team building, she has curated and commissioned contemporary art across disciplines.
A graduate of Bard College’s Center for Curatorial Studies, Bree holds a master’s degree in curatorial studies of contemporary art and served as a curatorial fellow at de Appel Amsterdam, a contemporary art center. She has built interdisciplinary, university-based arts programs at the University of Houston and Northeastern University, serving as Program Director, and has also served as Director of Education and Associate Curator at the Asheville Art Museum in Western North Carolina. She grew up outside New York City and now lives in a small former mill town outside Boston.
