Workshop & Performance: THIS and THAT. Operating under the moniker the Institute of Useless Activity, Jim Henson Foundation Award winners Phil Soltanoff and Steve Wendt will offer a workshop on their creative misuse of theater technologies and a workshop performance of their upcoming pieces THIS and THAT.
Premiering at the Bushwick Starr in December of 2020, THIS and THAT imagine, respectively, “: the creation of the universe” and “the longing, loss and alienation” of those in it through techniques that naively seek out “the poetry in simple objects.” Their residency activities with TDM are based at the Annex.
