A mini-marathon of new student work from the Performer-Composer Collaborative & Experimental Music Ensemble courses, lead by Professor Claire Chase will be presented in at the ArtLab on Wednesday, December 4 from 2-5pm.
Nine students from Professor Chase’s 172R Performer-Composer Collaborative course will present world premieres of works they have developed over the course of the semester, including electroacoustic and interdisciplinary collaborations, sound installations and acoustic chamber music.
Fifteen students from Professor Chase’s 185R Experimental Music Ensemble course will present a student-curated program featuring large ensemble works by George Lewis, Pauline Oliveros and Rajna Swaminathan.
The event takes place from 2-5pm at the Harvard ArtLab, 140 N. Harvard Street in Allston, and is free and open to the public. The public is welcome to attend part of or all of the event, which will run continuously for three hours.
