Autumn Knight is a New York-based interdisciplinary artist working with performance, installation, video and text. This performance will be presented at ArtLab as part of Lisa E. Harris residency and in collaboration with her course “Sound Mind and Body: Achieving Spiritual Harmony in an Out of Tune World” in the Harvard Music Department. Autumn Knight’s performance is free and open to all.
Knightâs video and performance work have been viewed within several institutions including the Whitney Museum of American Art and The Kitchen. Knight is the recipient of the 2021-2022 Nancy B. Negley Rome Prize in Visual Arts and a 2022-2023 Guggenheim Fellowship.
Nothing #98: harvard is a performance workshop/performance which exists within Knight’s extended exploration of attention economies and “dolce far niente” (sweetness of doing nothing). This particular iteration intends to open up a site-specific conversation around academic institutions as a fertile site for nothing doing.
